Most of the railway sleepers in China are made of pine. The wooden sleepers on the main line are 2.5 meters long and have a rectangular cross section. 2. Concrete sleepers for small sightseeing trains:
Concrete pillow, also known as concrete pillow. After the Second World War, concrete sleepers began to be used in large quantities. Its advantages are good stability, long service life, and low maintenance and repair costs; the disadvantages are large weight, elasticity and poor insulation performance, and a buffer insulation pad must be installed at the bottom of the rail. The main types of concrete sleepers are integral prestressed steel string concrete sleepers, integral prestressed high-strength reinforced concrete sleepers and steel rod concrete sleepers. Since 1958, China has mainly promoted the first two types.
